EXCLUSIVE: Eight in 10 Green and Lib Dem Voters Are Open to Backing Labour

A new poll for Zeteo UK shows progressive voters could be persuaded to vote Labour, with a wealth tax and public ownership of water being among the policies most likely to make them switch.

Andy Burnham and the Labour Party have a huge opportunity to win over progressive voters, with exclusive polling for Zeteo UK finding that only 18% of Green and Liberal Democrat supporters would rule out voting Labour in the future.

Polling by Opinium found that eight in 10 Liberal Democrat and Green voters remain open to switching their allegiance, depending on the direction Labour takes.

A wealth tax on individuals worth more than £10 million could make 37% of those respondents who are currently planning to vote Green or Liberal Democrat more likely to vote Labour, while a similar proportion of those respondents, 36%, said raising the personal income tax allowance to at least £15,000 could do the same.
