Israel is preparing for war with Turkey. Whether it happens is another question, but the evidence has become impossible to ignore – and yet most of the Western media is doing exactly that.

On Tuesday, Israel attacked Syria. This is, alas, hardly a novelty. Israel has illegally occupied Syria’s Golan Heights for nearly six decades. Since the fall of the Assad regime, Israel has seized more land and – in the first year alone – mounted hundreds of incursions and more than 600 separate air, drone or artillery attacks. Dozens of Syrians have been killed.

But this time was different.
