Britain is to set up a new centre to stem the “poisonous tide” of disinformation, not least from Russia. That was the announcement our new prime minister made at the United Nations General Assembly, as he savaged the Kremlin for spending £1.3 billion a year on bots, fake websites, falsified newspaper articles and other forms of deceitful political manipulation.

All perfectly reasonable, but one particular state was not called out for its role in spreading disinformation – and that is Israel.
