People Are Trying to Murder Muslims and the Response From Our Political and Media Elites Is a Deafening Silence
Last week, there were two alleged plots to attack Muslim mosques and events uncovered by police in the UK. So why did they not grab national headlines or force government ministers into action?
Imagine if a 14-year-old Muslim boy had allegedly plotted to attack two synagogues in London.
It would have dominated the headlines in the UK.
Newspaper front pages would have asked how a mere child had become so radicalised. An outraged prime minister would have issued an immediate statement. Government ministers would have been dispatched to television studios to denounce, decry and condemn. Security at synagogues would have been promptly reviewed. There would have been endless – and completely justifiable – discussions about rising antisemitism and the deadly consequences of demonising Britain’s Jews.
Instead, last week, a 14-year-old boy was charged with an offence linked to “extreme right-wing terrorism” after police uncovered an alleged plot to target two mosques in London.
And the response from our political and media elites?
Deafening silence.
It gets worse.
