Mehdi pens an open letter to the most powerful woman in the British government on the need for action – especially sanctions – against Israel’s ongoing genocidal crimes in Gaza.
Proscribe the World Zionist organisation. Arrest all Zionist operatives in government, media, police, courts and health. That is what any politician with a conscience should be doing right now. Zionism is a cross party political party build on terrorism and the only way to defeat is to proscribe and criminalise all its organisations.
As Israel undertakes a clean up operation to erase all evidence of their Genocide , war crimes , crimes against humanity over 2 years of destructive deadly brutality, reportedly removing 100 trucks of rubble a day, from 70% of Gaza Israel occupies under total military exclusion , with no independent journalists, forensic experts , observers, allowed to verify what is removed from what is war crime scene , it is unlikely that a Labour Government, in power during that period, will ever officially call what happened in Gaza a Genocide. It would be a self-damning admission of breach under Geneva Convention which demands action to ' prevent and punish' conduct that is judged to be genocidal in its impact- the destruction of the conditions of life ' in whole or in part' for group on religious , ethnic, racial grounds. Likewise the Government's apparent disregard for all international laws governing conduct of an 'Occupying power', Israel, against the Occupied under their control the Palestinians living in Gaza.
Worse, there is evidence that our Government was complicit in these crime , providing diplomatic /political cover, surveillance, military weapons to Israel as we watched daily massacres, majority of them civilians, women and thousands of children.
Rhetorical flourish from the back benches by Louise ...in effort to engineer a swap at the top.
Dither comes to mind. It seems once rising to the top table clarity of thought, then words is replaced by taking into consideration all aspects of the matter. Officials will say they have a duty of care. This is the bullshit that prevents people like Haigh who had clear, well thought out positions to succumb to the always present cabinet minister disease, ditheritis extremis.
You know I genuinely would like to know, and the answers I get are most likely what I anticipate, however, if governments are voted in by people, then why should we continue to allow such Govts to sit in power if they’re not doing anything the atrocities being committed around the world, in particular Gaza?
Why can’t other nations just stand up and say enough is enough?
Is this all a charade?
One set of rules for those we favour and another that we don’t…
Aren’t we the people the mandate on who we decide runs the country?
It is all well and good that we’re here as community voicing our concerns, but we need to show action also …
Unfortunately…when the cabinet is stuffed full with ‘Labour Friends of Israel’ …there’s no room for a conscience.. 😔

She said it to get into power. They will say anything to get what they want.
Burnham is a genocide denier . That’s why.
Now is the time to act, not later. Time is running out.

Talk is cheap Louise. It's when you're in a position to do something about it that we see what you're made of.

Something I can only wish Louise Haigh may do
