Let’s not forget that Douglas Murray is a close friend of Israel’s President Isaac Herzog, who famously stated “there are no innocents in Gaza” in October 2023, so it might not be a coincidence Douglas appears to be complicit in this seemingly coordinated Islamophobic harassment campaign being waged through the right wing media. Surely it’s a hate crime and the media regulators should investigate it?

Was it john pilger that set out the conditions for pending pogroms - wasnt one of those media broadcasts enabling views to percolate and make “normal” - he was looking at what caused violence to erupt against minorities. Ive been reading about the violence against hindus in the 1972 Bangladesh war of liberation ( where millions of Muslim bengalis were also murdered by pakistani troops) and can see how important press rhetoric is.
I mean the Spectator has made its bed, and its well known, that if there is a new article that is going viral, everybody pretty much knows already its rough theme of who they support and who they attack, its not exactly subtle :(
